Jack Murphy, President of the Livingston County War Museum/ Dal Estes Education Center and Korean War combat veteran is in the center. Our First Annual Benefit was a great success! Thank you to businesses in Pontiac and Livingston and McLean County for your donations on behalf of our local troops about to deploy to Afghanistan! Many thanks to the over 250 people who showed their support by attending the benefit dinner and silent auction! A big salute to the numerous individuals who helped us plan and carry out this wonderful evening. Finally, a special thank you to the Pontiac Elks, Nancy Phillips - restaurant manager and her staff, Doug Bertsche of Prairie Land Gallery in Pontiac for his donation of the Lincoln Memorial print, Bank of Pontiac and Caterpillar for your generous donations, the staff and families of our museum and above all, our Central Illinois National Guard troops and their families.
