Don Peters - We Will Remember...
Don Peters was a member of our museum and a good friend. He contributed many items from his World War II flying days which we proudly display. Don served with the Army Air Corps from 1942 - 1945 and then served with the Reserves until 1955. He was a B-17 pilot where he served in 35 missions over Europe. He was a proud veteran of World War II and a Captain in the 8th Army Air Force, 92nd Bomb Group. He received the awards of Air Medal of Honor with five oak leaf clusters and the European Theater of Operations Ribbon with two Silver Stars. Don was always ready to share a story with us and we will greatly miss him. The Museum Staff
